The Model 945 was one of the flagship semi-automatic pistols produced by the Smith & Wesson Performance Center during its early years. Built as a premium, hand-fitted .45 ACP pistol, the 945 combines classic single-action pistol characteristics with Smith & Wesson's own design architecture, including a frame-mounted thumb safety, grip safety, external extractor, linkless barrel system, and Performance Center fitting and finishing.

This example features a stainless-steel frame and slide, distinctive Performance Center slide treatment, skeletonized trigger, checkered wood grips, and the compact 4-inch barrel configuration. A documented RSA09XX Model 945 was confirmed by Smith & Wesson as being from May 2000.
