OVERVIEW

Offered here is a Ruger Vaquero revolver chambered in .45 Colt, serial number 57-15323, presented in excellent overall condition with a 4⅝" barrel, distinctive color-cased frame, factory engraved cylinder with gold-filled scrollwork, and simulated ivory grips.

Introduced in 1993, the original Ruger Vaquero was built on the company's robust, full-size single-action frame, combining traditional Western styling with modern Ruger engineering. Its six-shot cylinder, fixed sights, and transfer bar safety mechanism made it a favorite among single-action enthusiasts and cowboy action shooters.

This particular example is part of Ruger's desirable factory-engraved Vaquero series, produced in several limited-production configurations during the late 1990s. It features an attractive color-cased finish on the frame, contrasting blued barrel and cylinder, and decorative gold-filled scroll engraving between the cylinder flutes. The simulated ivory grips complement its traditional Western appearance.

A distinctive plum patina has developed on the cylinder, hammer, and trigger, adding vintage character to this collectible sixgun. A cylinder turn ring is also visible, consistent with previous handling and operation.

This special factory configuration is no longer in production and represents an interesting variation of the original large-frame Vaquero.
