OVERVIEW
Offered here is a beautiful Ruger New Model Blackhawk chambered in .45 Colt, featuring a 7½-inch barrel, traditional blued finish, Ruger wood grips with silver medallions, and a Tyler Gun Works in-house action job.
Dating to circa 1976, this revolver represents the early years of Ruger's New Model Blackhawk production and commemorates America's Bicentennial. Originally introduced in 1955, the Blackhawk became one of America's most recognizable single-action revolvers. The New Model debuted in 1973, introducing Ruger's transfer bar safety system while retaining the classic Western styling and rugged construction of the original design.
This particular revolver, serial number 46-23838, falls within Ruger's approximate 1976 serial-number range and features the historic barrel inscription "Made in the 200th Year of American Liberty", applied by Ruger to firearms manufactured during the nation's Bicentennial year. This distinctive marking adds historical interest and collector appeal.
The revolver has received our Tyler Gun Works in-house action job for a smoother, more refined action.
An attractive Bicentennial-era Ruger Blackhawk in the classic .45 Colt chambering, accompanied by its original red factory cardboard box.
