Browning Auto-5 12 Gauge – 1955 Belgian Production – Custom Game Scene Engraving – Two-Barrel Set
Browning Auto-5 Standard Weight 12 Gauge – 1955 Belgian Production – Custom Engraved & Carved – Two-Barrel Set
25½" Belgian Barrel | 22" Japanese Invector-Plus Barrel | Custom Game-Scene Engraving | Relief-Carved Walnut | Browning Carry Case | Serial No. H75226
OVERVIEW
Offered here is a distinctive 1955-production Browning Auto-5 Standard Weight 12 Gauge, serial number H75226, built by FN in Belgium and accompanied by a complete two-barrel presentation.
The shotgun has been extensively embellished with detailed upland game-scene engraving and scrollwork, along with an elaborate relief-carved walnut buttstock featuring a pheasant scene. The workmanship is substantial and visually striking; however, no Browning or FN documentation accompanies the shotgun establishing the engraving or stock carving as factory-original. For that reason, the embellishment is conservatively described as custom work of undocumented origin rather than attributed to Browning or FN.
The set includes its 25½" Belgian-made barrel as well as a later 22" Japanese-made Browning Invector-Plus barrel, allowing the shotgun to represent both the classic Belgian Auto-5 era and Browning's later interchangeable-barrel production.
Also included is a vintage Browning luggage-style fitted gun case, multiple original Browning instruction and hang tags, choke tubes, choke wrench, and related accessories.

CONDITION
This shotgun remains in excellent overall condition, particularly considering its 1955 manufacture.
The receiver engraving remains crisp and highly detailed, and the carved walnut retains strong definition throughout the pheasant scene. The wood presents beautifully with only light evidence of handling and age. Both barrels remain attractive, with normal minor handling and storage marks consistent with their respective ages.
The fitted Browning luggage case shows normal exterior wear from storage and use but remains an especially attractive addition to the set.
Because the engraving and stock carving are not accompanied by factory documentation, no representation is made that either treatment was performed by Browning or FN.
Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description.
