California Bicentennial Commemorative Colt Frontier Scout .22LR with Display Box
This is a recently acquired Colt Frontier Scout 1769-1969 Bicentennial Commemorative piece. These commemorative sets were made by Colt in 1969 to celebrate California’s Bicentennial. They typically come in a felt-lined presentation case with a California gold nugget outline in a walnut display case featuring a drawing of the State of California and a mission. However, this one is in a Golden Spike Commemorative Box with a Golden Spike included. The display box and the commemorative spike might not match the gun, but it's still a very neat little set. It features a 6"-barrel, gold plated finish with light engraving on the bottom of the frame, and wood grips with Gold Colt medallions. It's in unfired condition and 1 of 5000 manufactured.
