Colt Commander "100 YEARS OF SERVICE" Commemorative Model .45 Automatic Pistol

This is a recently acquired pistol in great condition. It's a special edition handgun that was released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Colt 1911 pistol, which was originally designed by John Browning and adopted by the U.S. military in 1911. The Colt Commander is a variant of the classic Colt 1911, featuring a slightly shorter barrel and slide for improved concealability while retaining the .45 ACP (Automatic Colt Pistol) caliber. It was originally introduced in 1949 as a lighter and more compact alternative to the full-size Government Model 1911.

"100 Years of Service" is marked on the right side of the barrel to honor the century of service of the Colt 1911 platform.
