This is a Colt Trooper MK III
chambered in .22 Magnum, recently acquired and in solid condition. Introduced in 1969 and produced through 1983, the Trooper MK III was Colt’s answer to the demand for a reliable, medium-frame double-action revolver that could handle a variety of calibers with precision and style.
This particular example features a 6″ heavy barrel
with a full-length rib
and shrouded ejector rod, offering improved balance and sighting. The revolver is finished in Colt’s deep factory bluing and wears a set of checkered walnut grips
with gold Colt medallions. It also incorporates a transfer bar safety mechanism, introduced with the MK III series for added peace of mind.
Overall, this revolver shows normal signs of use, including minor holster wear
and handling marks on the grips, but remains mechanically sound and visually striking. A fine example of Colt's craftsmanship in a desirable magnum rimfire chambering.
