Overview

This Belgium made FN Browning Hi-Power GP Competition is a scarce factory target variant of the legendary P-35 platform, purpose-built for precision shooting and competition use. Unlike standard service Hi-Powers, the GP Competition model features an extended barrel with removable muzzle weight, adjustable sights, and accuracy-enhancing internal refinements designed specifically for match performance.

Produced in limited numbers during the 1980s and now discontinued, the GP Competition represents one of the most specialized factory Hi-Power variants offered by FN Herstal. These pistols were intended for target shooters rather than military or duty roles and are increasingly difficult to find today in original configuration with factory accessories.

This example remains in mint condition and includes the original box, two magazines, and factory tools.

The installed hand checkered wood grips appear consistent with early Craig Spegel target-style grips, though they are not marked and cannot be definitively attributed.
