Designed by the legendary John M. Browning in 1919 and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale d’Herstal (FN Herstal) in Belgium from 1922 through 1974, the FN Trombone is one of the most respected and collectible rimfire pump rifles ever produced.

The Trombone became well known for its exceptionally smooth slide-action operation, lightweight handling characteristics, and elegant European craftsmanship. Compared to many American .22 pump rifles of the era, the FN Trombone displays refined machining and sleek receiver contours that have helped it maintain strong collector appeal for decades.
