This is a nice pair of single mounted, engraved, silver and copper overlaid, star spurs made by none other than Dale Bass of Amarillo, Tx. His Biography in Bits & Spurs Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin states that he made his first pair in 1991 when in need of a hobby and by 1998 he was a full-time spur maker. He built saddle sets, buckles and spurs, but no bits. When he retired from spur making, he became a full-time engraver for us at Tyler Gun Works and has made some truly incredible pieces of art that prove what a well-rounded craftsman he is. Dale has since retired, any of his pieces will make great additions to your collections.
