Colt New Service Revolver .45 Auto Shipped to City of Los Angeles 1928
This is a recently acquired Colt New Service Revolver chambered in .45 ACP with a 5 1/2" barrel, blue finish and checkered wood grips with lanyard loop. According to the Factory Letter, this revolver was one of 25 shipped to the City of Los Angeles c/o Lt. Harry Hager on March 21,1928. It features a shortened 45 ACP cylinder for rimmed cartridges, specially targeted for the LAPD. It has a diamond checkered back strap and hard rubber grips with the vintage Colt logo. It's in overall great condition with wear consistent with age and use. Please see pictures for accurate depiction of this historical piece.
