Excellent Lettered Pre-World War II Colt Single Action Army Revolver

This is a recently acquired Colt Single Action Army chambered for .44 Special from the Cooper Legacy Foundation. It's in excellent condition, retaining much of its original blue finish and color on its case-hardened frame and showing minimal scattered handling marks. It has a 7.5" barrel and fluted cylinder with a very light turn line. The bore is great, and it has a strong action. It wears Colt black checkered grips with the Rampant Colt emblem. It comes with a Colt Collector letter showing a shipment date of April 7, 1927, to Durham, Carrigan & Hayden Company in San Francisco, California. The Dunham, Carrigan & Hayden Company was a prominent supplier of wholesale hardware and mining supplies in San Francisco during the turn of the century. This is a beautiful, top tier investment piece with rich history and will make a great addition to any collection.
