Product Details

Ruger Old Model Flattop Blackhawk .44 Magnum

6½" Barrel – Serial Number 29103

Few revolvers hold the historical significance of Ruger's original Flattop Blackhawk. Introduced in the mid-1950s and chambered for the then-new .44 Remington Magnum, these early three-screw revolvers helped establish Ruger's reputation for building strong, reliable single-action revolvers capable of handling powerful cartridges.

Offered here is an original Ruger Old Model Flattop Blackhawk chambered in .44 Magnum with a 6½-inch barrel and serial number 29103. This revolver remains in very nice condition for its 1962 manufacture date, showing minimal signs of careful use while retaining excellent overall appearance. The metal finish remains attractive, the markings are sharp, and the factory walnut grips remain in excellent condition.

The Flattop Blackhawk occupies a special place in Ruger collecting. Produced before the introduction of the Super Blackhawk and later New Model revolvers, these early three-screw guns are highly sought after for their classic lines, lighter frame profile, and historical significance within Ruger's product line.

Whether you are a Ruger collector, single-action enthusiast, or simply appreciate classic American firearms, this Flattop Blackhawk represents an increasingly difficult revolver to find in such well-preserved condition.

Please review all photographs carefully, as they are part of the description and represent the exact revolver you will receive. There is a small, but notable handling mark on the right side of the frame near the cylinder and in line with the ejector rod housing as well as some very minimal and scattered peppering.
