This is a PolyTech M14S, a Chinese-manufactured civilian version of the U.S. military M14, chambered in .308 Winchester. Imported during the late 1980s to early 1990s, these rifles are well-regarded for their forged steel receivers, chrome-lined barrels, and faithful adherence to the original military pattern.
This example features a 25" chrome-lined barrel with muzzle break, hardwood stock, and standard M14-style sights. It is in very good condition with typical signs of use and handling, and comes complete with the original factory box, three 20-round magazines, and a leather sling. The butt stock houses cleaning supplies.
The M14S is prized for its durability and military-style construction, making it a popular choice among collectors and shooters alike. While marketed as .308 Winchester, the rifle is also capable of firing 7.62x51mm NATO, as both cartridges are functionally compatible.
