This beautiful antique is an engraved W & C Scott & Son "The Premier" Double Barrel 10Gauge SxS with 32" Damascus barrels, full rib with dolls head. Serial number: 430xx. Manufactured around ~1887-1888. The stock is absolutely gorgeous, high grade, straight grip wood stock. The color case and bluing is brilliant. Overall this shotgun is stunning and in excellent condition considering it's age. The pictures don't do it justice. It is sure to be a family heirloom that can be enjoyed and passed down for generations. No FFL is required for this pre-1898 beauty.

Detailed Description:

It does show some lighter scratches. The receiver shows excellent color with full engraving featuring various upland game birds. It has the Crystal Indicator. The color shows some wear on the metal parts on the forend. The corner piece of the forend has been repaired. You can see the remains on all sides. The barrels are in good condition with good finish. There are a few small spots where the finish has slightly faded or worn. There are a few light scratches visible on the barrels as well. The rib is marked "W & C Scott & Son Patent Triplex Lever Grip The Premier 10Gt Castle Street Regent Circus London". Other markings are: The left side of the receiver below the barrels is marked “W&C SCOTT & SON / PATENT / BLOCK SAFETY”. The left and right sides of the receiver below the cocking indicators are marked “PATENT / CRYSTAL INDICATOR”. The lower tang is marked “No 43006” and with a circled castle tower logo. The left flat under the water table is marked “43006”, with “Crown / V” view mark, “USA.PAT / DEC.3-78”, “USA.PAT / MAY.6,79” and with “W&CS&S / PATENT NO 761 / 711” inside a diamond. The right flat under the water table is marked with a circled castle tower logo, a “Crown / V” and “”The Premier Gun”. The metal lockplate in the forearm and the underside of both barrels are marked “43006”. The undersides of the barrels are also marked “NOT FOR BALL”, a mark that wasn’t used after 1887. The left water table is marked “The Premier Gun”. The left and right water tables are marked “Crown / GP”, “Crown / V”, “Lion / GP”, “12”” and “10B”It has sling eyes and is fitted with a Pachmayr recoil pad. All edges are crisp and clean, no rounded or chipped edges. LOP is 14 1/4- 14 1/2". Bores are bright and shiny. It comes with a Briley choke tube set with .613 tubes. It has a set of "FULL" thin wall chokes currently installed. Please refer to pictures for a more accurate depiction of the overall condition of this shotgun.
