This is a recently acquired Smith & Wesson Registered Magnum chambered for .357 Magnum Caliber from the late Michael Hutyra Collection. It was manufactured in 1938, the third year of production, pre-World War II. It includes the original Registered Mag box with directions for use imprinted inside in English and in Spanish. It also has nox paper, factory letter and original order forms. Paperwork states this gun was shipped in a rush order of 5 guns to J.E. Haseltine Co., Portland, Oregon to be sold to the Multnomah County Sheriff Department. Guns were ordered with 6" barrels, partridge front sights, magna stocks, specialty humpback hammers and sighted in at 25 yards with a 6 o'clock hold. Guns were ordered on 7/15/1938 and shipped from the factory on 08/12/1938. This is an excellent example of Smith & Wesson history and will make a fantastic addition to your collection. Please see specifications below and all pictures for accurate depiction of this beautifully preserved revolver and its documents.
