This is a recently acquired Remington Model 521-T “Junior Special”, chambered in .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle. Designed as a precision target and training rifle, the 521-T was introduced in the late 1940s as part of Remington’s post-war focus on affordable, accurate rimfire firearms.

This example features a 25" light-tapered barrel, rich blue finish, and Lyman adjustable peep sights for superior target acquisition. The solid walnut stock is fitted with a front adjustable swivel sling stud and a stationary rear sling stud, along with a black serrated butt plate.

It’s in great condition overall, showing normal wear consistent with its age. There is no serial number, which is correct for pre-1968 production. Based on the barrel date code, this rifle was manufactured in October of 1947, making it a first-year production model—a desirable find for collectors and shooters alike.
