OVERVIEW

Offered here is a classic Remington Model 581 bolt-action rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle, featuring a 24-inch barrel, traditional blued finish, and wood stock.

Introduced in 1967 and produced through 1983, the Model 581 featured a detachable box magazine and rear-locking bolt design, making it a popular choice for recreational shooting, small-game hunting, and general sporting use.

This example, serial number 1015752, bears the barrel marking ODS 52, with the OD portion corresponding to July 1983 under Remington's barrel date-code system. Assuming the barrel is original, this places the rifle within the final year of Model 581 production.

A classic vintage Remington rimfire, complete with its detachable magazine and offered in good overall condition with age-appropriate signs of use.
