This is a recently acquired Remington Model 241. The Remington Model 241 Speedmaster is a semi-automatic rifle designed by John Moses Browning and produced by Remington Arms Company, Inc. between 1935 and 1951. The rifle is a takedown design, similar to the Browning SA-22, and has a double-sided nut to adjust the barrel to fit with the receiver. Approximately 56,000 of these rifles were made between 1935 and 1951. It is chambered in .22 LR and has a 24" barrel with a worn blue finish and a two-piece walnut stock. It has a butt fed tubular magazine that holds 10 rounds. It comes with a Tasco Pronghorn scope with duplex reticle. It has a mostly brown patina. Overall, it's a neat rifle in good condition with normal wear and handling for its age. Please see specifications below and all pictures for accurate depiction of this rifle.
