OVERVIEW

Offered here is a 1983 Ruger New Model Blackhawk chambered in .357 Remington Maximum, featuring the impressive 10½-inch bull barrel, beautiful blued finish, adjustable target sights, and smooth walnut grips with Ruger medallions.

Introduced in the early 1980s for handgun hunting and metallic silhouette competition, the .357 Maximum Blackhawk features an extended frame and cylinder, heavy barrel, and steel Dragoon-style grip frame with square trigger guard. Production ended in 1984, making these short-production revolvers particularly interesting to Ruger collectors.

This example has received our in-house action job, a Belt Mountain base pin, and our upgraded base pin latch, enhancing its already impressive single-action platform. The original factory base pin is also included.

Shipped in 1983, this revolver is in excellent, near-new condition and appears unfired since leaving the factory. It is accompanied by its original Ruger factory packaging, including the distinctive yellow-and-black Blackhawk Maximum box, brown outer shipping carton, factory instruction manual, and assorted period paperwork.

CONDITION

This 1983 Ruger New Model Blackhawk .357 Maximum is in excellent, near-new condition and appears unfired since leaving the factory. It retains its beautiful blued finish, smooth walnut grips, and exceptionally well-preserved overall appearance. Although its appearance suggests little to no use, an unfired history cannot be guaranteed. There are very minimal signs of handling with areas of age-related finish fade. A beautiful plum patina is starting to emerge.

Our custom enhancements include an in-house action job, Belt Mountain base pin, and upgraded base pin latch. The original factory base pin is included.

Accompanied by its original Ruger BNM-10 factory box, brown outer shipping carton with matching handwritten serial number, instruction manual, safety notices, and assorted period paperwork.

The factory boxes exhibit age-related storage wear, including notable staining and puncture damage to both the yellow-and-black Ruger box and brown outer carton. These cosmetic imperfections are limited to the packaging and do not reflect the revolver's exceptional condition.
