This Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece, later designated the Model 17, is a classic pre-model-number K-frame target revolver chambered in .22 Long Rifle. Serial number K148434 places production in the early 1950s (circa 1952) during the highly regarded post-war period prior to model number designation.

This example features the desirable 6" barrel configuration, adjustable rear sight, Patridge-style front sight, and traditional blued finish. It is fitted with period-correct checkered walnut Magna grips.

The revolver remains in very good overall condition, showing honest wear consistent with age, including light finish thinning, slight peppering, and scattered handling marks.
