OVERVIEW

Offered here is an exceptional 1985 Smith & Wesson Model 27-3 .357 Magnum 50th Anniversary Registered Magnum Commemorative, produced in a limited edition of just 2,500 revolvers to celebrate the introduction of Smith & Wesson's legendary .357 Magnum in 1935.

The original Registered Magnum represented the pinnacle of Smith & Wesson craftsmanship, offering individually registered revolvers with distinctive factory features. Its legacy continued through the Model 27, one of the company's most celebrated N-frame revolvers.

This commemorative example, serial number REG1339, features a 5-inch barrel, beautiful bright blue finish, gold-accented anniversary markings, and richly figured smooth Goncalo Alves target grips with Smith & Wesson medallions.

Particularly desirable is its matching factory registration certificate, numbered REG1339 and identifying the revolver's original commemorative specifications. The certificate is displayed inside the lid of its handsome wooden presentation case, featuring a royal blue interior.

Accompanied by the presentation case key, this is a well-preserved collector's example of an important limited-production commemorative.
