OVERVIEW

Offered here is a Smith & Wesson SW1911 chambered in .45 ACP, Model 108282, with a full-size 5" barrel and stainless steel construction. This example appears to be new in the original box and is accompanied by its factory case, owner's manual, paperwork, fired-case envelope, and other materials shown.

Model 108282 belongs to Smith & Wesson's earlier generation of SW1911 pistols, predating the later E-Series. It combines traditional Government-size 1911 proportions with several recognizable Smith & Wesson features, including the company's external extractor and distinctive slide markings.

The stainless slide carries the prominent SW1911 marking, while the pistol is fitted with black rubber checkered Smith & Wesson grips, an extended beavertail grip safety, skeletonized trigger, commander-style hammer, and dovetailed sights.

For someone interested in the earlier Smith & Wesson 1911s, the apparent new condition and completeness of this example make it especially appealing.

CONDITION

This SW1911 appears to be in new-in-box condition, showing little to no evidence of use beyond normal factory handling and testing.

The stainless surfaces present very nicely, as do the grips and controls. The original Smith & Wesson case and accompanying paperwork have also remained with the pistol.
