TGW Limited Production Legendary Colt Government Model – Brand Gun Prototype (.45 ACP)

This pistol is the last available prototype from one of the most celebrated custom projects ever produced by the Tyler Gun Works Custom Shop.

Built as the prototype for a strictly limited run of just 50 hand-engraved pistols, this Legendary Colt Government Model is a powerful tribute to Western heritage. The slide and frame are hand engraved with historic ranch brands from across the country, each carefully executed by Ricky Sharp, creating a piece that tells a story far beyond its mechanical excellence.

Finished in hard chrome and fitted with genuine hand-crafted ram’s horn grips, this prototype represents the foundation of the entire project. While the final production pistols received fire-blued small parts and a custom walnut display case, this example retains its original factory-finished small parts, preserving its identity as a true origin piece from the run.

This pistol ships in the Colt factory blue case and includes the instruction manual, lock, and factory accessories. A TGW letter is available upon request.
