Introduced in 1962, the Remington Model 700 became one of America's most recognized bolt-action sporting rifles, earning a reputation for its strong cylindrical receiver, dual opposing locking lugs, and dependable performance. The .220 Swift, introduced in 1935, remains a celebrated high-velocity varmint cartridge known for its flat trajectory and impressive performance.

This particular rifle, serial number A6503116, features a custom HMH-marked barrel chambered in .220 Swift, measuring 22 inches in length. The barrel is stamped "220 S" on the left side and "HMH" on the right side, distinguishing it from a standard factory-marked Remington barrel. The identity of the barrel manufacturer has not been verified.

The rifle also features a dedicated left-handed action and traditional two-tone checkered wood furniture, offering an attractive combination of classic sporting rifle styling and custom features.
