Springfield Armory M1 Garand .30-06 Rifle – Late WWII Production
Springfield Armory M1 Garand – Cal. .30 (.30-06) Late WWII Production
Description:
U.S. service rifle M1 Garand
manufactured by Springfield Armory. Receiver serial 3581892
places production in March 1945. The barrel is Springfield-made and marked “SA 3-45,”
also March 1945, making this a correct and desirable matching receiver/barrel configuration. Receiver is further marked with drawing number “D28287-19SA A-9”
— a revision and heat lot consistent with late WWII production.
This rifle features a Springfield Armory–marked leather M1907 sling and retains original stock markings, including a circled “P” proof mark behind the trigger guard and a small RIA (Rock Island Arsenal) cartouche on the left butt stock, indicating an arsenal rework or inspection. The right side of the butt stock has some illegible/faded military markings.
