This is an original first-generation M&P9, predating the M&P M2.0 series introduced by Smith & Wesson in 2017. The accompanying factory-fired casing is dated October 4, 2013, placing this example firmly within the original-generation M&P era.

This pistol appears to have remained in exceptionally well-preserved condition with no meaningful signs of use beyond normal factory handling and testing.

The slide, frame, controls and grip surfaces present exceptionally well, and the original blue Smith & Wesson hard case remains with the pistol.

COLLECTOR NOTE

For buyers familiar with the M&P line, this is the pre-M2.0 / first-generation configuration. Smith & Wesson launched the original polymer-frame M&P pistol line in the mid-2000s and replaced it with the substantially revised M&P M2.0 platform beginning in 2017.

The combination of new-in-box condition, original case and accessories, factory-fired casing, and a clearly documented 2013 date makes this a particularly complete example of the original full-size M&P9.
